About ME and my artworks

About my Arts

 “CREATIVITY TAKES COURAGE.”

As an artist, my main goal is to depict Indian Art forms in a new way. I am mainly interested in spiritual themes.

I create paintings inspired by different schools of Indian Miniature Paintings  Kangra, Basohli, Guler and Kalighat styles etc. Occasionally I like to create artwork based on nature and people.

I believe in the quote:

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way—things I had no words for. Hence creativity has no limits.”

I have formal education in fine arts(Shilpa Ratna in Fine Arts from Sarbabharatiya Sangeet o Sanskriti Parishad).

But I have found that to learn the Indian traditional painting from core,  you need a teacher who is an expert in the field. You can learn these painting techniques only under the able guidance and blessings of such a teacher. We term this Guru Shishya Parampara(teacher-student lineage).

I mainly have learned the themes on which I want to work from Mr. Pabak Kumar Debnath. He is a humble person and an expert in different traditions of Indian Miniature Paintings ·

I have more than 18 years of experience in  Indian Miniature Style artworks under his guidance. I believe that it is a lifelong learning process. The more I do, the more I learn.

I will request you share your opinion with me. Your suggestions are invaluable to me.
